Essential Information For Competitors

Choirs and Groups

All applications for Competitions 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, 22 and 23 must reach the Eisteddfod Office by 1 NOVEMBER 2009.

Application form A is contained in the Syllabus and may be photocopied as necessary and sent by fax, or it can be downloaded from http://www.llangollen2010.co.uk and emailed to Mae'r cyfeiriad ebost yn cael ei warchod rhag spam bots, rhaid i chi alluogi Javascript i'w weld. .  Do not send music scores of own choice items with the application form. See rule 5 of Rules and Conditions.

Soloists

All applications for Competitions 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 19 (Folk Dance Duo), 20 and 24 must reach the Eisteddfod office by 28 FEBRUARY 2010.

Please note that Groups and Soloists must submit a recent recording from the last 6 months with their application form.  This must be on CD, DVD or as an MP3 file - see competition pages for full details. Applications will not be considered unless both the application form and the recording are received by the deadline.  Groups or soloists must submit a recording relevant to each competition for which they are applying.  Please note that pieces may not be repeated in different competitions (excepting Choir of the World).

Note to All Competitors

Choirs and folk groups are permitted to apply for more than one competition, provided that they comply with the different conditions relating to each individual competition; furthermore, choir and folk group members are permitted to enter the solo competitions (see the Soloists section on this page).  It is also useful for the Eisteddfod to have an indication from groups with their applications as to whether they may be putting forward soloists for solo competitions.

Overseas Competitors are asked not to make private arrangements to perform at other venues during the Festival without prior consultation with the Music Department Administrator.
