Peace Message 2009

This year, for the first time, we have produced a DVD of the Peace Message. The second performance of the Peace Message on Tuesday 6th July was recorded and is now available in a no frills wallet for only £5 – a perfect gift for someone who was not able to be there on the day.

Llangollen Gold – This year we have launched a new label Llangollen Gold which we hope will become a regular feature for the Eisteddfod. The first CD produced is called Director’s Choice Volume 1 and features a special collection of choral and solo performances specially chosen by Mervyn Cousins, our Executive and Musical Director. The performances are from 2005 to 2008 and feature the Stellenberg Girl’s Choir who won Choir of the World 2006 as well as a very young Faryl Smith singing in the solo competition in the same year.

If you enjoy watching the dancing, the colour and the spectacle then these DVDs are for you! By popular demand we have produced DVDs of dance and we hope you enjoy reliving these fabulous competitions.

Essence of Llangollen 2009

As ever, we are producing this extremely popular round-up of the week’s festival which will include highlights of the peace message, all the competitions, the dance competitions and the sights and sounds from around the field, the town and the pavilion stage. A great present to send to someone who has never been to the Eisteddfod and a great price at only £17.50.

Barbershop Choruses 2009

For the first time ever we are producing a DVD of the Barbershop choruses so you can listen and see this fantastic competition. Watch the Westminster Chorus from California perform – they went on to win Choir of the World. This DVD is available on the mail order form for £15.

Adult Folk Dance Groups Comp 15

Another first! This DVD will be the whole competition so relive the performances of Loughgiel Folk Dancers and the Gurman Folk Dance Academy together with all the other performers on the day.

Choreographed Folk Dance Comp 16

This DVD will again be the whole competition featuring Pro Musica from Slovakia and Kalynonka from the Ukraine together with all the dancers from the competition that day.

Children’s Folk Dance Comp 17

Watch the Northern Lights from Skipton in England perform against Loughgiel from Ireland together with dancers from Turkey, the Ukraine and India to name but a few.

Comrades in Song

This DVD is still available for purchase at £15. This is the concert recorded on 7th July 2006 in celebration of 60 years of the Llangollen Eisteddfod. It features four Welsh Males voice choirs, Froncysyllte, Godre'r Aran, Pontarddulais and Rhosllanerchrugog together with behind the scenes interviews from the conductors. The concert culminated in all four choirs on stage together – a fabulous end to an amazing concert. If you like Male Voice Choirs this is a must!

Previous Recordings

We can produce a CD of ANY recording from 2005 – 2009 including copies of the Essence of Llangollen from each year. This would include all choral competitions and the Choir of the World. So if you are missing a CD from your collection please contact us and if we can help we will.

We may be able to get earlier recordings but these come from archive and are more difficult to obtain however please contact us to discuss your requirements.
